London ski expo 5!
Guests enjoying SAKE (Japanese wine made from rice). You can choose from Nagano's Masumi Junmai, Niigata's Echigo Koshino Happo Junmai and Hokkaido's Taisetsu Junmai. Yummy!
Michelin star chefs Heston Blumenthal & Mickael Weiss also joined the Metro Ski Show.
Celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal is the chef and owner of The Fat Duck, a three Michelin starred restaurant voted Best Restaurant in the UK by The Good Food Guide 2007 and 2009, and voted best restaurant in the world by Restaurant magazine in 2005. Mickael Weiss is the head chef at Coq d’Argent, perhaps London’s highest level restaurant.

London ski expo 4
At Metro Ski & Snowboard Show 2010 held in London you can meet many interesting people like Mr. Steve Doyle the publisher of SNOW SEARCH JAPAN a popular magazine in UK covering all the ski resorts in Japan.
Other attraction at the show are the husky dogs. I loved to have a photo with them.
At the Japan's booth you can even have your name written in Japanese by a Japanese calligrapher. He found the kanji for my name too and MONICA translated in English means Cute New Flower. Wow, very nice for my name. I do not want to write just Monica. I want to write my name in kanji. Sounds better!

London ski expo report no.3 !
JNTO's office is close to the Piccadilly Circus a busy plaza in the heart of London at the junction of five major streets: Regent street, Shaftesbury Avenue, Piccadilly and Covent Street. You can get easily here using The Tube (London's Underground rail network, or 'the Tube' is the quickest and easiest way of travelling around London.)
In the center of the plaza you can see the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain and Eros.
The fountain, located on the south west side of Piccadilly Circus, was completed in 1893. The fountain was built as a memorial to the works of Lord Shaftesbury, a philanthropist known for his support of the poor. The fountain is topped by one of the most famous landmarks in London, the ‘Eros’ statue.
At Metro Ski &Snowboard Show JAPAN's booth has a very good location close to the main attraction of the show - The Jumping Hill for skiers and snowboarders. Everybody who is on the way to see the jumpings can have a good chance to get information about ski resorts in Nagano (Hakuba, Shiga Kogen, Nozawa onsen) and Niigata area. Besides information you can try your luck with a lucky dip. Many presents for lucky winners: Shirts, hot chilly paste, stickers in Japanese and much more. Not to mention free service of sake. This only at Japan's booth - Nagano and Niigata Alliance's stand.

London ski EXPO No.2
I am in Romania now in my hometown Brasov. All the photos are made in the center of city.
I spent my childhood in the center of the city.
Brasov is the capital city of Brasov county and is located at 170 kilometres from Bucharest, the capital city of Romania.
Centrally located Brasov is a good starting point for trips around Romania. The city is situated at fairly equal distances from several tourism destinations in the country: the Black Sea resorts, the monasteries in northern Moldavia, and the well-preserved wooden churches of Maramures. It is also the largest city in a mountain resorts area. The old city itself is very well preserved, and is best seen by taking the cable-car to the top of Tampa Mountain (995 m), a beautiful lookout.
In a couple of photos you can see: Council Square, The Old Town Hall, Mountain Tampa and Rectorat.
Council Square or Piata Sfatului in Romanian used to be the place for periodical fairs during the Middle Ages and Modern Era. Due to Brasov’s role in trading, Piata Sfatului was the place where tradesmen from Romanian Pricipalities, Hungary came for business.
In the centre of the square stands the The Old Town Hall (1420) in Romanian Casa Sfatului, now home to Brasov's History Museum.
Rectorat (Transylvanian University Administration Office) is an architectural jewel of the city and one of the most popular attractions. It was constructed between 1881 and 1885 by famous architect Peter Bartsch in neo-Renaissance style and is an extraordinarily beautiful example of modern architecture.
From 18th of October I will be in London at the Metro Ski and Snowboard Show held in Grand Hall, Olympia. See you there.

Monica's blog from London!
The trip from Narita to London with British Airlines was a very pleasant one. They served 2 meals plus a snack and you could choose from light drinks, beer and wine.
The staff was very attentive with children which added a plus to their service. You can see Erika’s happy face in the airplane.
In Heathrow airport were exhibited 2 very beautiful sports cars. On the cars was written www.best of the best.co.uk which represents a popular airport supercar competition with one simple aim: to give away as many supercars as possible for lucky winners. You can see Erika with one of the cars.

Great news in Japan!
Yamano Hotel is the only hotel rated in the JAPAN EDITION OF MICHELIN GREEN GUIDE 2009 in Hakuba section which is a great achievement.
It is the first time for Michelin, renowned worldwide for its star-rating assessments of hotels and restaurants to publish a comprehensive guide to Japan's tourist attractions.
In this first edition of Japan, Yamano Hotel Hakuba succeeded to obtain an international recognition from Michelin being rated as one star hotel which means “a very good hotel in its category”.
Congratulations Yamano Hotel!
